Services
We are here to provide the best health care service to you and/or your family members. We accept all patients in our inclusive environment. Our family physicians are currently accepting new clients.
You do not need an appointment to see a walk-in doctor if one is available. When making an appointment, you will ask you about the nature of your visit to allocate the appropriate time for your meeting. Our physicians aim to provide same day assessment and treatment for our patients.
We provide general referrals to specialists.
We provide prenatal/obstetrics care for expectant mothers and their fetus. Prenatal care is delivered to expectant mothers by our highly qualified physicians with special interest obstetrical services at Medicare Walk-in Clinic. Prenatal services are offered by our physicians to give you the best possible start and to deal with any issues concerning you and your baby. We provide postnatal care as well.
We provide comprehensive pediatric care for your young ones and baby check-ups when required.
Check-up includes:
- General Check ups
- Weight/Height measurements
- Head circumference measurement
Every Albertans are advised to have a periodic health exam as needed. Examinations are booked for 30 minutes.
Our physical examinations are thorough for early diagnosis and prevention of disease.
Our examinations include total body check-up, weight, height, BMI, blood pressure and necessary investigations.
We provide health care services to women, such as:
- Family planning
- PAP test
- STD screening,
- Contraceptive management
- IUD insertion/removal
- Breast health
- Pregnancy etc.
PAP Test Clinic: All gynecological examinations are performed by our experienced female physicians or attended by female staff. The Pap test (also known as a Pap smear or cervical cytology or Papanicolaou Test) involves collecting cells from the cervix to check for abnormal cells and early detection for cancer cells.
IUD Clinic: We accept self referral and family physician referral. For self referral, please call us to book your appointment for Intrauterine Device (IUD) Insertion/Removal/Contraception management. For fax referral, please ask your family doctor to fax your referral and we will make an appointment for you.
Short waiting time for referral and procedures with our ortho/sport medicine specialist.
We provide drivers medical exam which is an Uninsured Service. This service is provided free for all seniors aged 75 years and over who are resident of Alberta.
Although, most of our patients are here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, we also accept out-of province patients. Some out-of-province patients may need to pay a fee up front and then we can help seek for reimbursement from their provincial health insurance.
We welcome and accept out-of country patients. These patients will be billed privately.
Common travel vaccines are:
- Diphtheria and Tetanus
- TwinRix® Vaccines
- Hepatitis A or Hepatitis B separately
- Anti-Malarial Drugs
- Typhoid vaccine
- Cholera vaccine
We provide care for work related injuries. Our physicians are knowledgeable about the WCB process. Our doctors will work with you to ensure you get appropriate care and documentation.
